Ce qui monte de la ville is the second album by Equi. The city is more than just streets and facades. She breathes, murmurs, falls silent, and erupts. Within her alleys and squares, emotions pile up: loneliness and infatuation, farewells and longing, war and homecoming, the search for oneself and others amidst the crowd. About Elias

Elias D'hooge (°2000) is a pianist, organist and composer from Evergem/Ghent. He completed his Master's in Jazz Piano at the Ghent Conservatory in 2023, where he met lots of other inspiring musicians that are now part of his musical projects. Mentored by artists such as Erik Vermeulen, Bram De Looze, Christian Mendoza, Dirk Van der Linden and 2 week-lessons from Gerald Clayton, Aaron Parks, Shai Maestro and Fabian Almazan, Elias approaches jazz as a lifelong journey through sound. His music, inspired by the spirit of the past, present, and future, reveals a deep creative drive and a distinctive compositional voice.
